Buck Moon: Motivational Activity # 2

My dearest souls in our Buck Moon circle and all of you walking this path with me, I am writing this log with so much warmth in my heart as we move into our second activity together.
The first one was already touching something deep. We were asked to spot an animal that carries buck energy, whether that is a strong male deer in your area or something that represents the same spirit for you like an adult male rabbit, an antelope, or even a kangaroo if that is what lives where you are. Then take that energy and bring it into form by sketching, carving, or molding it in clay so it could sit as a powerful altar piece. If you did yours already, the buck you created is already holding space for strength, renewal, and new growth in your life. I hope it is bringing you comfort and reminding you that we too can grow new antlers when the season calls for it. I'll post mine soon!
Now, as we prepare for the Buck Moon itself, which peaks on July 29th this year and will look full and bright on the nights around it, I felt called to bring us a second activity that works beautifully with moon magic. It is something crafty and creative that everyone can do, no matter where you live or what supplies you already have at home. This one lets us work directly with the Buck Moon’s energy of growth, strength, and shedding what no longer serves us, just like the bucks grow their strong new antlers after letting the old velvet go.
I really encourage you to do this before the moon happens so your jar can be ready and waiting when that powerful light arrives.
Our second activity is to create your own Buck Moon Growth Intention Jar.
Here is how to do it.
Choose a small glass jar or bottle that feels special to you. It can be an old mason jar. Give it a gentle cleanse with some salt water or simply hold it and speak loving words over it. Then gather what you have on hand. A small handful of salt or sea salt for the bottom to represent strong foundations and cleansing. Some dried herbs from your kitchen, such as rosemary for protection and clear vision, a pinch of cinnamon or basil to call in growth and abundance, lavender for peace and spiritual connection, or whatever herbs or spices you feel drawn to. If you have any small crystals, stones, or even a pretty pebble you found outside, those can go in too. Clear quartz is wonderful for amplifying everything, but use what you have or what calls to you.
The most beautiful and creative part is writing your personal intentions on small pieces of paper. Sit quietly for a moment and think about what you want to grow in your life right now.
Maybe it is stronger spiritual connection and daily guidance from your angels. Maybe it is physical or emotional healing so you feel more like yourself again. Maybe it is abundance flowing more easily, protection around your home and loved ones, or the courage to shed old patterns and step into a stronger, freer version of you. Write those desires from your heart, fold or roll the papers gently into a scroll, and place them inside the jar with care.
You can also add special touches that connect right back to our first activity.
If you have access to a small piece of bunny fur in an ethical way, you can tuck a little inside to honor the rabbit as one of our buck representatives. On the outside of the jar you can paint or draw symbols with whatever paint or markers you have, like a little bunny, a deer hoof print, or antlers, to bring that buck energy right onto your jar. And for an extra magical glow, you can even tuck a small strand of battery-powered fairy lights inside so it shines softly with its own little light while it waits.
As you layer everything in, move slowly and let it become a meditation. Feel the Buck Moon energy already building around us. You are creating something sacred with your own hands. Once your jar feels complete and sealed with love, place it lovingly on your windowsill or somewhere it can see the sky, and let it wait there until the Buck Moon arrives.
Try to have this ready a little before July 29th so it is prepared and open to receive the full strength of that lunar energy when the moon peaks and shines its brightest.
After the full moon nights have passed, you can bring your glowing jar inside and place it right next to your buck altar piece. This jar now becomes a living talisman. You can hold it during prayer or meditation, shake it softly while speaking your affirmations out loud, or simply let it sit as a reminder of the growth you are calling in.
Spiritually this activity does so much for us. It gives us a simple, hands-on way to work with the moon’s cycles, which have always supported renewal and manifestation. The creative process itself opens our hearts and helps the magic feel real and personal. It mirrors the buck’s journey of letting go of the old velvet so new, strong antlers can grow. And it reminds us that we are co-creators with the universe, capable of beautiful change when we align our energy with the natural rhythms of the moon and the seasons.
Everyone can join in this one. There is no wrong way to do it and no special supplies required. Make it as simple or as detailed as you like. Have fun with the creativity, whether you add the bunny fur, paint symbols, or tuck in those fairy lights. Trust that the angels and the Buck Moon herself are supporting every loving intention you place inside.
I am so excited to see what each of you creates and how this jar helps you grow stronger and more aligned under this powerful moon. If you feel moved to share a photo or even just a few words about how the process felt for you, I would love to witness it in our circle. You are all such bright lights, and I am grateful to grow right alongside you.
We still have the summer angels with us as well as Archangel, Michael and Archangel Gabriel. You can call out to any one of them during this time.
Thank you for being here with me. Sending you so much love, warmth, and angelic light as we continue this journey together.
With a full heart,
Alura
